If my dealer is closed, how can I have my furniture serviced?

I am being charged for services I thought were under warranty. How do I address warranty concerns?

Dealers usually have various warranties regarding Franklin products. Dealer- in- home-service fees and transportation charges are an exclusion to the Franklin Corp. warranty. These are fees that are established by the independently owned and operated dealers. For more details regarding your warranty, we suggest you contact your local dealer.

I would like to order Franklin Furniture products. Can I place an order directly through Franklin?

Franklin Corp. works through independently owned, authorized dealers on all sales and service matters. The Franklin dealer in your area can provide you with information on product and pricing.

I would like to locate a particular style (or cover) on a Franklin product. Can you assist?

Because the dealers are independently owned, we do not have access to information regarding their inventory.

I have placed an order for furniture or parts and I would like to check on the status of the order.

If an order has been placed, it has been done through your local dealer. Any questions regarding sales or special orders should be directed to your dealer. They have access to all of the pertinent information necessary to verify the status of the order.

Why is my furniture “pilling” and what are the long-term effects on my fabric?

Pilling is common occurrence of several upholstered fabrics that results in excess fiber coming off the surface of the material. The release of excess fiber results in small “knots” or “pills” (thus the term “pilling”) forming on the surface of the fabric. This condition is not covered under a warranty by most fabric mills because it is not deemed as a defect. It is simply excess material being released. This is similar to the “fuzzing” experienced with new carpet or a new sweater.

The main concern on the part of most consumers is that the fabric is tearing and will ultimately leave a bald area on the cover. This is simply not the case. As with new carpets and sweaters, the pilling will stop when the excess fiber is gone. The best treatment while the product is pilling is to shave the cover with a battery operated furniture or clothes shaver to restore the look of the fabric. This may need to be done 2-3 times in order to see some improvement.

Can I have information on fabric cleaning?

To successfully clean fabric, it is important to determine the type of fabric and the recommended cleaning code. This information can be found on the tag attached to your furniture.

Cleaning Code:

W: Use a water-based cleaning agent or foam.

S: Use a mild, water-free dry cleaning agent.

WS: Either water-based cleaning agent, or a dry cleaning solvent or foam type cleaner may be
used.

X: Do not use a foam or liquid cleaner of any type. Vacuum or brush lightly to remove soil.
